OpenStack QA tooling & How to use it for Production Cloud testing

admin Open Source, Talks, Talks & Interviews

OpenStack QA/Infra projects contain many testing/debugging tools which run on every patch we merged in Upstream. They help to maintain the stability of the upstream code. These tools are not only for upstream development but many companies/users use them for production clouds testing.
For example, Tempest(Integration test suite), Patrole(RBAC testing), openstack-health, Base zuulv3 jobs etc are maintained for production clouds also. Their branchless nature avoids you to upgrade them and help to verify whenever you upgrade your cloud. How you can run multiple testing workspace with the different configuration of your single cloud.

This session discusses the QA tooling, its highlights and how you can use them in production cloud testing.
